Undersea Defence Technology Asia Overview

Developing Undersea Operational Capabilities

Drawing inspiration from the 2018-2022 ASEAN-EU Plan of Action, UDT Asia 2020 will focus on the key areas of UUV capabilities, waterway management, and trans-border cooperation. Using an interactive and engaging format, the conference offers senior regional officials the opportunity to discuss capabilities, common concerns and multilateral solutions in a relaxed and constructive setting.

In a revised format for 2020, several key themes from the Maritime Patrol Asia forum have been merged into the UDT Asia agenda, delivering a more comprehensive programme and attracting a wider pool of attendees. This is designed to yield larger session audiences and more fruitful, challenging debates.

Furthermore, the UDT and MilSim conference streams will unite for plenary presentations before breaking into separate interactive sessions including discussion groups, roundtables and case studies. We are confident these changes will provide greater value for all event participants.

  • The event conducted in Singapore on Maritime Patrol by ADECS is an outstanding success on all counts. The choice of topics, resource persons and exhibitors brought out the current day challenges in a happening area. The arrangements and execution were par excellence and highly professional . I have no doubts that future events will continue to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
