Dr Booth is the Chief of Joint and Operations Analysis Division (JOAD), within Defence Science and Technology Group (DST) of the Australian Department of Defence. JOAD undertakes scientific analysis and develops command and control support tools that supports defence decision makers across the entire capability life cycle. The division achieves this through the application of scientific methods including operations research, operations analysis, simulation assisted experimentation, cognitive science, experimental psychology, artificial intelligence and systems engineering. Lynn has a B.A. in Physics and a D.Phil. in Astrophysics from the University of Oxford. Prior to joining DST she worked for five years for the UK Ministry of Defence at the Propellents, Explosives and Rocket Motor Establishment and the Royal Armaments Research and Development Establishment, modelling the properties of rocket exhaust plumes. She joined DST in 1989 and worked in both Adelaide and Sydney, focusing on submarine and anti-submarine warfare operations research. She also spent two years seconded to Maritime Headquarters as their first Staff Officer (Science). She moved to Canberra in 2001 as Director Strategic Analysis Policy in DST

Prior to joining Frost & Sullivan, Janesh was the Co-founder & CEO of India’s first mainstream robotics company, signed large-ticket deals with leading consumer electronics MNCs, and built multi-award winning robotics platforms.
Janesh completed his MBA from the National University of Singapore. He was a Singapore Ministry of Education Scholar for his B.Eng (Mechanical, Hons) at the National University of Singapore.

Vice Admiral Dr Sahapong Kruapech

Vice Admiral Dr. Sahapong Kruapech is an Advisor to the Permanent Secretary of Defense, Thailand. After graduated from the Naval Academy, he first served as a Fire Control Officer on fast patrol ship, HTMS Udomdej, the Royal Thai Navy for one year. After that he was granted a scholarship to study master degree in USA and training as a researcher at Macquarie University and Defense Science and Technology Organization, Australia. When he came back he was appointed as the Head of Electronic Laboratory in Military Research and Development Centre (MRDC). He was the Deputy Director of Communication and Electronic Division, the Deputy Director of Military Research and Development Centre (MRDC) and finally, the Director of MRDC.
Adm. Sahapong received his first degree from the Thai Naval Academy in Electrical Engineering in 1982, a Master degree in Electrical Engineering (Digital Signal Processing) from University of Pittsburgh, USA in 1987, on the job training in Laser Technology at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and Laser Crystal Growing at Defense Science and Technology Organization in South Australia in 1988, and a PhD degree from Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand in Laser Technology in 2009. He thesis related to Laser Rangefinder.
During his serving time at MRDC as a researcher, He has carried many projects in laser applications, e.g., Diode Laser Rangefinder, Solid-state Laser Rangefinder, Laser Depth Sounder (to measure the depth of the sea by using Green laser), Eye-safe Laser Rangefinder and Laser Target Locator. His experiences from the research work has helped him to save millions baht for the Thai Armed forces in the budget for maintenance and procurement. For that reason, he received award as a distinguished researcher of the Thai Defense Department in 2001. When he was promoted to the Director of MRDC, he focused on Optoelectronic works and lay down R&D strategy. He also has an idea to speed up R&D work by collaborating with many research institutes both national and international. One of his success is Trilateral collaboration between Chilean Airforce, US Air Force Office Scientific Research, and MRDC to solve common problems which Chile and Thailand have and with support of AFOSR.
Adm. Sahapong contributes his research experience by teaching at many universities in Digital Signal Processing and Laser Technology. He believes these two technologies will be a solution for the modern world. During his teaching at universities, he also helps the universities to set up laser laboratories so the student can learn by doing. He also holds many short courses in laser fundamentals to bring together researchers, engineers and executive managers working in a team.
