AOC EW Asia Overview

Enabling Electromagnetic Operations in the Asia Pacific Region

Electronic Warfare Asia, produced by the Association of Old Crows, is the region’s leading sector-specific event and will once again operate a standalone two-day programme. The event is now a well-established fixture in the industry calendar, attracting in excess of 350 EW-focused attendees, with a high proportion of military and public sector delegates.

Participants at this, the 4th AOC event in Singapore, will hear from world-leading experts across the military, government, academia, S&T and international R&D communities and, crucially, industry. The event will help attendees to progress their understanding of the issues, technology and capabilities that underpin improving their national EM abilities, that is, to advance them both nationally and in collective Asia Pacific defence.

The conference will consist of plenary sessions focusing on operations, defence capability development, and industry inventiveness. This is an unclassified, English-language, pan Asia-Pacific event providing unique networking opportunities, a specialist exhibition and a world-class conference.

What you can expect to hear about

The use of, and the ability to control the electromagnetic environment are changing at an increasing pace and operations in this congested and contested battlespace must adapt to these dynamic transformations. Military, academia and the EW industrial partners will need to collaborate in adopting innovative technologies and novel EW capabilities in EW, SIGINT, navigation, communication and C4ISR applications to meet these challenges.

The Asia Pacific region poses both unique difficulties and opportunities in advancing EM Operations. AOC EW Asia 2020 will address evolving EW and EM technologies and operational concepts for current and emerging threats in maritime, air and land operations including hybrid warfare, cyber warfare, information warfare, and signals intelligence.

AOC EW Asia 2020 session topics in support of the conference theme include:

  • Keynote addresses
  • Operational updates and activities

  • The event conducted in Singapore on Maritime Patrol by ADECS is an outstanding success on all counts. The choice of topics, resource persons and exhibitors brought out the current day challenges in a happening area. The arrangements and execution were par excellence and highly professional . I have no doubts that future events will continue to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
